This is the latest version of the famous "404" Interceptor designed by Jim Walker in 1947. This model sports a new plastic wing pivoting mechanism that was inspired by a protptype designed by Bob Smurthwaite for Jim Walker in the 1950's. Like the original model, you fold the wings back and capult launch it high into the air with the supplied rubber launcher. At peak altitude, the wings snap open into glide mode and the Interceptor II is riding the air looking for warm thermals.
This model is made in Oregon just like the original 404 Interceptor. The difference is that this model is produced in small quantities by hand and not with mass production equipment. We still believe that Made in the USA stands for quality.
